A Flagship Fixture Program Focussed on Storytelling
An adaptable fixture program where categories could elevate their product stories.
Nike Fieldhouse Flagship Fixture Program
On my very first day at RTC, one of the leading retail fixture companies globally. I had the opportunity to meet the global lead creative director at Nike, who shared a glimpse of a new retail flagship concept they were about to embark on. From that moment onward, for over a year, I worked closely with the visual presentation and design teams to help develop a flexible fixture program that allowed a variety of categories to come together as a brand with adaptability to create innovative storytelling and product presentation zones.
Based on the concept of a Fieldhouse, an indoor athletic building with track and court lines where various sports could utilize, such as basketball, running, and soccer, to name a few. I led a team of 3D and industrial designers, engineers, and space planners to help bring Nike's designers' vision to fruition by engineering and creating design intents to help generate approvals with leadership, develop prototypes, sourcing, and further value-engineer for rollout.
As the flagship stores were rolling out with this fixture program, I further led the design of a scaled-down version called Varsity that rolled out for shop and shops with Nike wholesale partners. In addition, we developed a further adaptation for College and Stadium team shops where higher capacity requirements were needed.
